India defeated the Srilankans in the Asia cup final by 81 runs to lift the trophy after 15 years. India won the toss and elected to bat and scored a good score of 268for 6 in 50 overs with dinesh kartihk scoring 66, MS dhoni scoring 38, surehsh raina scoring 25 runs and jadeja remained not out on 25. The srilankns did not start well losing 5 wickets for 51 with nehra picking up 3 wickets , Praveen kumar 1 and zaheer also 1. After that some partnership was going but the run out of Kandamby snatced the match from the Lankans. The man of match was awareded to dinesh kartihk and man of series was given to shaid afradi.
